I, Jeni, received a Power Pressure Cooker XL™ 6 quart to review.
I’d heard about these appliances – they are all the rage among my friends and family. I can’t go a week without seeing a meal make in a pressure cooker on my Facebook feed. I was super excited to receive this, and try it out. Could I really make meals faster? Is it really that easy? My questions were quickly answered, as I started exploring my new Power Pressure Cooker XL™.
My pressure cooker came with a great recipe book, detailing the simple instructions for cooking beef, chicken, pork, seafood, soups & stews, sides, and desserts – with several options for each category. I also checked out the recipes on the Power Pressure Cooker website and immediately fell in love! These look amazing! I had about 45 minutes to make dinner for my boyfriend and I, and decided on Chicken Teriyaki and White Rice. Sixteen minutes. That’s all it required to cook both of the components to our dinner. I thought, “This is MAGIC!” With such little prep time for both, I still had a good 20 minutes before dinner had to be served, so I cleaned out the pot and picked a dessert. Apple Cake seemed like a great treat after dinner, and only took 18 minutes!
The food came out absolutely perfectly. This couldn’t have been easier, and I wondered why I hadn’t used a pressure cooker before. The meat was tender and flavorful – even juicy! The rice came out better than the traditional pot on a stove method, and wasn’t sticky like it usually is when I make it. And the dessert was heavenly! This was a killer meal that I made in less than 45 minutes, with time to sit and watch Gilmore Girls on Netflix while it cooked! 🙂 Talk about a win-win!
I really liked the one-touch button system. Each button is clearly marked and the timer sits in the middle of the options. You can treat this as a slow cooker, rice cooker, canning device (yes, you can create canned goods and preserves with it, too!), a soup maker, a steamer and even use it as an all-in-one sauce pan and stock pot. I think the only thing this pressure cooker doesn’t do is the dishes once the meal is over!
Power Pressure Cooker XL™ also comes equipped with an intuitive one-touch setting designed for a variety of foods. Meat, fish, vegetables, beans, rice, soup or stews can all quickly be cooked to perfection without even thinking about it. It’s available in 6 quart ($99.99), 8 quart ($129.96) and 10 quart ($159.93) models, Power Pressure Cooker XL™ can be purchased at powerpressurecooker.com, as well as through select national retail stores and websites.
I HIGHLY recommend grabbing one of these Power Pressure Cooker XL™s for yourself. I definitely suggest gifting one to the cook, wanna-be chef or baker in your life, as well. This is especially great for those that struggle in the kitchen, because it does all the work for them! Give the gift of easy, quick meals, and you’ll be thanked for years!
